    Angry Miao

Most keyboards and mice look alike: black plastic, familiar shapes and the same spec sheets repeated from one brand to the next. That's fine for plenty of people. But if your desk is where you work, game and create for hours every day, you may want gear that feels better, looks different and is built with real attention to detail. The hard part is finding hardware that has more going for it than looks.

Angry Miao is one of the few brands that has made that niche its whole identity. Founded in 2019, the company designs premium mechanical keyboards, ultralight gaming mice and desk accessories with a bold, futuristic look. It describes its products as ridiculously lightweight, extremely precise, and engineered down to the smallest detail. Its CNC-machined aluminum cases, magnesium-alloy mice and limited-run designs are aimed at keyboard enthusiasts and competitive gamers.

In this Angry Miao review, we look at what the brand is, what sets it apart, its main keyboards and mice, what they cost, and how shipping, returns and warranty work. That should help you decide whether Angry Miao belongs on your desk.

    What Is Angry Miao?

Angry Miao is a technology brand that makes mechanical keyboards and wireless desktop products. According to its About page, Li Nan founded the company in 2019. Li Nan was previously Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer at Meizu. Angry Miao calls itself a high-end, trend-driven technology brand. Its stated mission is to bring future technology to consumers through close community interaction.

The company talks about building a Future Art Community. It works closely with gamers and keyboard fans through its Discord server and social channels such as Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Its international online store sells keyboards, gaming mice, keycaps and switches, gaming setup accessories, general accessories, and iPhone cases and chargers.

    What Makes Angry Miao Different?

Many peripheral brands compete on price or specs alone. Angry Miao treats each product more like a design object. A few things stand out on its official store:

    • Art-inspired industrial design: Products often borrow from art and design history. The Relic 80's eroded corners are inspired by Daniel Arsham's Future Relic concept. The Retro 63 RT's styling is based on Citizen's 1980s ANA-DIGI TEMP watch series.
    • Premium materials and machining: Angry Miao uses CNC-machined aluminum, magnesium-aluminum alloy, Damascus-patterned aluminum, carbon fiber and even PEI for keyboard cases.
    • Performance for gaming: Several models offer 8K polling, rapid trigger and Hall-effect switches. The flagship mouse uses a PAW3950 sensor.
    • Limited and signature editions: Some products, such as the AM HATSU, carry a signature unique to each unit. Others come in limited finishes such as Mirror Shadow.
    • A community-first approach: The brand relies on its community for feedback and launches, and it runs recurring release promotions through its Angry Tuesday page.

AM Relic 80: The Flagship Custom Keyboard

The AM Relic 80 is one of Angry Miao's best-known keyboards. It uses an 80% layout, so you get the function row and navigation keys without a number pad. Its main engineering feature is a three-stage adjustable leaf spring mount, which Angry Miao says allows 12 different typing configurations. An 8-layer internal structure is tuned for a deep, thocky sound.

The case is where the Relic 80 really stands out. Angry Miao says each top cover goes through nearly four hours of precision CNC machining to create the eroded corners. There are two finishes:

    • Chalk White: an E-coat electrophoretic paint with a matte, marble-like texture.
    • RAW: stone- and acid-washed aluminum that shows the metal's industrial character.

    Listed specs include:

    • 19mm front height and an 8° typing angle
    • Pre-installed Icy Silver Pro V3 switches and frosted keycaps
    • 1.2mm 4-layer hot-swap PCB with RGB and corner RGB modules
    • Tri-mode connectivity (2.4G, Bluetooth, USB-C) plus wireless charging
    • Two 5000mAh batteries

On the official store, the Relic 80 is priced at $660 to $699 depending on finish. It had 4 reviews at the time of writing, 75% five-star and 25% four-star. Angry Miao also sells a bundle of the Relic 80 RAW and the AM Infinity Mouse in Mirror Shadow.

AM Infinity Mouse: Ultralight Metal Gaming Mouse

The AM Infinity Mouse brings the brand's design approach to gaming mice. It has a full-metal magnesium-aluminum alloy exoskeleton with a hollowed-out skeleton design, made using precision die-casting and CNC machining. It still weighs just 49g wireless and 39g wired, according to Angry Miao.

Key features listed on the product page:

    • PAW3950 sensor with up to 30,000 CPI, 750 IPS tracking and 50G acceleration
    • 8K polling by default, adjustable to 1K in the AM Master software
    • Hot-swappable magnetic battery with a 1.2-second reconnect, with black and orange batteries included
    • Battery life of about 43 hours at 1K polling and about 17 hours at 8K
    • TTC Orange Dot Optical Micro-Switch V2, rated for 100 million clicks
    • A 2.4G receiver that also works as a charging dock

The mouse comes in Basalt Black, Cloud White, Blaze Orange and a limited Mirror Shadow finish. The standard version is listed at $129, and Mirror Shadow starts at $169. An updated AM Infinity Mouse .97 starts at $149.99 in Neon Rosa, Basalt Black and Cloud White. Angry Miao also sells replacement parts for the .97, including a $19 Hatchback shell and a $6 rubber feet and grip tape set.

The Infinity Mouse page showed 159 reviews, 73% of them five-star. Reviewers often mention the build quality, the low weight and the swappable battery design.

    Hall-Effect and Rapid Trigger Keyboards

Angry Miao also sells fast, gaming-focused keyboards that use rapid trigger. These models let you adjust how far a key travels before it registers.

Dry Studio Battleye 75 HE R2

The Dry Studio Battleye 75 HE R2 fits a 75% layout into a 60% footprint. You keep the F-row while leaving more room for your mouse. It uses WS Diamond HE magnetic switches with 3.5mm total travel, 35gf actuation and 45gf bottom-out force. Angry Miao lists RT accuracy of 0.001mm, 8K polling, a single-key scan rate of 256K, an all-key scan rate of 32K and 0.1ms latency. A 1.7-inch LCD touchscreen shows your rapid trigger settings and can display a custom nameplate. You can switch between Battle, Valorant, Typing and Custom modes. There are two finishes: Damascus, which is aluminum alloy with a forged, chemically etched Damascus pattern, and Carbon Silver, which is aluminum with carbon fiber and hand-placed silver accents. The store lists it from $219 to $249.

    Retro 63 RT

The Retro 63 RT is a 64-key, 65% board with an 8° typing angle. It uses TTC Green Snake King OG Edition switches, each with its own serial number. It offers 8K polling, a 16K scan rate and a knob that switches between Esports Mode and Daily Mode. You can set rapid trigger, lighting, layers and deadzones in a web-based Device Center. It comes in Hazy Amber, with a PEI case, and Dark Void, with a black matte acrylic case. Both have a carbon plate and a leaf spring mount.

    Everyday and Ergonomic Keyboards

Not every Angry Miao keyboard is built for esports. Two models stand out for everyday work.

    ATM 98

The ATM 98 is a full 98-key keyboard with a number pad and a silent-first design. Angry Miao says it chose the Bsun Light Sakura Silent Linear switches after three rounds of blind testing with 23 participants. It has a 6063 aluminum alloy body, a gasket mount with an 8-layer dampening system and a Star Ring knob for productivity shortcuts. It also offers tri-mode connectivity and two 3000mAh batteries. It was listed at $199, down from $259. Its reviews are mixed. Of 13 reviews, 7 were five-star, and 5 one-star reviews raised issues such as defective units, slow customer service, missing accessories and software problems.

    AM HATSU

The AM HATSU is Angry Miao's split ergonomic keyboard. It has an ortholinear 4x6 layout. Angry Miao says the design helps you avoid flat wrists and forearm pronation. It has a 3D curved metal body made with 5-axis CNC machining, wireless charging and connections to up to three devices at once. Each unit carries its own signature. It was listed at $1,099, down from $1,600, and was sold out at the time of writing.

Other keyboards in the lineup include the AM AFA R2 (from $544, down from $699) and the AM RGB 65 R1.5 (from $435).

    Switches, Keycaps and Desk Accessories

You can also build out your setup with Angry Miao's accessories. Highlights include:

    • Icy Silver Pro V3 Switches (90pcs): the switches used in the Relic 80, listed at $75 (down from $95).
    • AM SilkGlass Gaming Mouse Pad CP-1919: a 490 x 420mm tempered glass pad with a 2-micrometer micro-etched, nano-coated surface, 7H hardness and silicone anti-skid feet. It's listed at $99, down from $119.
    • AM x WINSHOP PixelGlow Hub Coiled Cable: a coiled cable with a custom display and glow effects, listed at $79.
    • AM Stabilizers from $9, the Hover Ergonomic Maglev Wrist Rest from $39.99 and the Petbrick Kit at $30.
    • AM Emptiness Phone Cases for recent iPhone Pro models, plus CYBERBLADE TWS earbuds from $149.99.

    Software and Support Resources

Several products have software you can customize. The Infinity Mouse uses the AM Master software, while the Retro 63 RT and ATM 98 use a web-based Device Center at setrt.com. Angry Miao also has a User Manual page with downloadable PDF manuals for its mice and keyboards. These include the Relic 80, Retro 63, ATM 98, the Cyberboard R1 to R4, HATSU, Black Diamond 75 and Battleye. You can email general support at support@angrymiao.com.

    Angry Miao Pricing

Angry Miao is a premium brand, and its prices show it. Here are prices listed on the official store at the time of writing:

    • AM Infinity Mouse: $129 (Mirror Shadow from $169)
    • AM Infinity Mouse .97: from $149.99
    • ATM 98: $199 (regular $259)
    • Dry Studio Battleye 75 HE R2: $219 to $249
    • AM RGB 65 R1.5: from $435
    • Retro 63 RT: $479 (regular $559)
    • AM AFA R2: from $544 (regular $699)
    • AM Relic 80: $660 to $699
    • AM HATSU: $1,099 (regular $1,600)

Many products show a sale price below the regular price, and bundles sometimes save you a little more. Popular models often sell out, so check stock before planning a purchase. Before checkout, look for an FoxyShopping coupon to lower the price further.

    Angry Miao Shipping

The Angry Miao shipping policy says orders take 7 business days to process, or up to 14 business days during peak season. You'll get a dispatch confirmation within 24 hours of shipment. Shipping fees are calculated at checkout. US mouse orders over $199 ship free.

Angry Miao ships internationally by FedEx or DHL to 48 countries and regions across Asia, Oceania, Europe, North America, South America and the North Atlantic. Estimated delivery is 7 to 12 business days. A few things to know:

    • You may have to pay import duties and taxes, including VAT, and Angry Miao says it is not responsible for these charges.
    • You can't change the shipping address once an order ships.
    • Angry Miao won't refund or reship orders that fail because of an incorrect address, refused signature, unpaid taxes or failed customs clearance.
    • Customers in Korea, Indonesia and Argentina must provide local tax IDs (PCC, NPWP or CUIT).

    Returns and Warranty

Read the Angry Miao returns policy carefully before you buy, because it is stricter than many big retailers' policies. It mentions a return window of 3 days after delivery for unused items in original condition, and a 14-day window from receipt in its general refund terms. Key points:

    • Returns for fit or preference are not accepted, and neither are returns of discounted or customized items.
    • For damaged or defective items, contact Angry Miao within 14 days with your order number and photos.
    • Minor cosmetic flaws, such as spots or discoloration under 0.3mm in diameter, air bubbles or color variations, aren't covered if they don't affect use.
    • A 30% restocking fee applies to approved returns. There's an extra $50 repackaging fee per item without its original packaging.
    • You pay return shipping on non-quality returns. Angry Miao pays if it sent the wrong item or caused the damage.
    • Refunds are processed within 7 business days after inspection and don't include postage, duties or taxes.

On the plus side, Angry Miao says its products are backed by a 1-year warranty.

    Who Should Consider Angry Miao?

Angry Miao is a strong fit for:

    • Keyboard enthusiasts who want a finished, premium custom keyboard with a distinctive design and adjustable typing feel.
    • Competitive gamers who want 8K polling, rapid trigger, Hall-effect switches or an ultralight metal mouse.
    • Setup builders and collectors who like limited finishes, signature editions and a matching desk.
    • People who care about ergonomics and are interested in a premium split keyboard like the HATSU.

If you're on a tight budget, need a generous return window, or aren't sure a product will suit you, a mainstream brand may be a safer choice.

    Is Angry Miao Worth It?

If you value design, materials and engineering detail, Angry Miao offers something few brands do. The Relic 80's CNC-machined case, the Infinity Mouse's 49g metal body and the Battleye's touchscreen and rapid trigger aren't features you'll find at mainstream prices. Customer feedback on the official store is strongest for the Infinity Mouse and Relic 80. Some models, such as the ATM 98, have more mixed reviews.

The downsides are real, though. Prices are high, popular products sell out, international buyers may owe duties, and the return policy includes a 30% restocking fee. You'll get the most from Angry Miao if you research the exact model first and buy with confidence rather than to try it out.

    Final Verdict

Angry Miao has built a strong reputation by treating keyboards and mice as design objects without giving up performance. Its lineup covers the art-inspired Relic 80, the ultralight AM Infinity Mouse, Hall-effect gaming boards and a split ergonomic keyboard. It's aimed at people who want their desk setup to stand out. The prices and strict returns policy won't suit everyone. But if you want premium, distinctive hardware backed by a 1-year warranty, Angry Miao is well worth a look. Check the current deals, and save where you can with an Angry Miao coupon.
